- 8.0.2 is out, now with patent-free (and faster!) 2Q replacing ARC. As
libpq has changed versions, you will need to rebuild any apps that
linked to it.
Tom Lane has put an optimization for the min() and max() aggregates in
CVS TIP which allows them to use indexes.
PostgreSQL Product News
Bizgres project creates and builds a PostgreSQL "distribution", including experimental core mods, for an optimized Business Intelligence version.
- The PostgreSQL Configurator will be an interactive Perl script designed to help users with initial performance configuration for PostgreSQL. In time it'll hopefully attract a GUI interface as well. Part of BizGres.
- PgJ2EE is a coordination tool for efforts to achieve J2EE certification and superlative J2EE performance for PostgreSQL.
